We received a letter from our son yesterday. The letter sounded upbeat and positive and he even told us of a funny thing that happened. I didn't understand the humor but at least the guys had a brief moment to giggle. He said that it is really cold and windy. He heard that they might have snow but hasn't seen any yet. Our son passed his first physical test, YEA!!!!. If I am counting his days correctly, today they would be on 5-1. Also, they had their first fitting for their dress uniform last week. Anyone hear any additonal information about our division?

I totally agree! I am thrilled to hear about S9 Div 10 and what they are up to. My son struggles to fill a page in a letter, but is never at a loss for words when he is with you...so I feel kinda in the dark. Glad they are doing well.

cakemom: Hell week is usually around the 4th week (counted after the processing days are done). That is a very busy week for them...and they get up quite early, but they make it through!

Does anyone know when hell week begin for our group? Is it next week? It sounds like it is about to get even harder for them..
Comment by diannep on November 4, 2010 at 11:31pm
Melh1215: It is Marlinspike and it is a mock ship where they learn basic seamanship, all they need to know about handling a ship....

Recieved second letter today!!! WOW...I thought it was supposed to get easier as time goes by for her and me. She said things are actually getting tougher because the stakes are higher. Sounded stressed!!!! Still hoping there Div gets it together!! I dont feel much better then I did the day she left and so worried aboout her. Maybe she was talking about hell week?? These next 28 days can not go fast enough for me right now.
