Dianne, question about the airport if you know...My son will be at the airport...hes G&G, with Stacy's son....do we go to the gate with them? or will be in the USO part??? Do you know or have your heard? i'm asking cause there will be alot of family for my son....he'll have 5 of his brothers and sisters there, gparents, his dad and stepmom and my hubby and me...of course, if the flight is at like 6, or earlier probably not all of us will go...just wondering who they'll let go back..I read family can actually go to gate on a military pass???

Stacy: I bet you can meet him at the airport...although you may have to go in the wee hours of the morning....hopefully he will know on PIR day when his flight leaves. I missed the airport visit with my son...and regret it. I hear that it is a wonderful time with them at the gate....all together....and one mom reported that when they announced that the military could board now, all people at the gates around there stood up and cheered! Amazing...what an experience.

In Clayton's last letter he said we could spend from 1100 to 2000 on Friday. No mention of airport time.

Has anyone made plans for Saturday night? I want to go out and celebrate for him! Lol

Still no call. :(

Nukemom...i know...i didn't get to speak with Michael, but my hubby did...he was 10 + years in navy and knew some things to ask....but Michael didn't mention his flight being that early...I hope not...he said the counselor said family could go to airport that he'd be there probably for awhile...maybe they take all those flying out at once and they sit till their own flights...let's hope so, otherwise we only get a few hours on Friday....even if it's sitting at the airport for 4 or 5 hours, we still get to be with them... Maybe this week we'll know more!

Wow, 16 nukes in his division! Only 3 in Brandons, and they are all G&G. It is nice we get to go to the airport, but Brandon said he thought his flight was between 2a-6a. Maybe that's when they take them there. We'll just have to wait for more info. I hope it will be a long day at the airport...the more time we get to spend with him, the better. I wish I could have talked to Brandon...he didn't seem to know much when he talked to his GF about leaving. I don't know if he's talked to the nuke counselor or not. Hopefully, his next letter will tell more.

melh, that's great news!! to add div...go to settings, (in top right corner, under where your friends and inbox stuff is), once there, you shoud see your screen name...just change it and save...I've changed mine like 4 times..didn't have my div, and everyone kept askin, so finally changed it.

Nuke mom....he is grad n go...BOO!! but we do get to spend some Friday with him...not usre how long, most of the day though I think....and Sat Michael said we could go to airport with him and sit with him....his nuke counselor did tell him that...so must not be doing a chartered flight..just commercial, so we may get to go into the USO waiting with them at airport....it may be a long day there though...alot of times they take all recrts at once to airport and they just sit there till flights leave....but we can still see them!! give all of us a chance to talk more as well!! i think they said 16 nukes in michaels div were grad n go....
