For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Got my letter(s) today! I typed them and then left the back side for him to write back on... this way he didn't use up his space with letters and cards. I sent him questionaires too, that he filled out with his own witty remarks. I also sent some Top Lines from BC letters and asked him to comment or check ones he agrees with... I got that back from him too!
He said that boot camp is better than he had imagined and that he's gaining weight. He also had 3 wisdom teeth pulled!
If you haven't already gotten your letter, it'll be real soon!

Collin also commented they had to earn their call and he is in Div 009. I had a stressful day at work so I am still not feeling like myself. I wonder if depression is setting in. I hate those feelings. been a long time but I really want to crawl into be and not wake up for a few day. - Thanks people for all the kinds words and the ideas for letter to write. I wrote Collin 6 pages last night and sent him the comics. :) Hope he shares

Got a letter today but no call. He says there are some guys in the division that talk a lot. I guess they have to earn the phone calls. But I'm really happy for the letter!

Hi all. I can add to the happy dancing going on. Got two letters today (written 4 days apart) and then not one but TWO calls (back to back - only because she needed another number). It was about the same as some of you describe - happy tears. We talked for about 15 mins. or so. She said that was only the 2nd time she's cried and the 1st was when she saw a friend in church. She complained about the usual (food, running) but was very proud to report how well she's exceeding. I have to run out to get stationery and envelopes & will stop at the P.O. for stamps tomorrow - her only request besides hugging and kissing everyone. I couldn't be happier, but the tears are still falling! Can't wait for 12.3!!

That's awesome TMH!!
Clayton's other two letters sounded like he was a bit down he said his division gets in trouble a lot and that sucks. Still no call. :-(
