i am so proud of our men and women =] they are doing something wonderful for their lives and they are making their own way in this world which is amazing! i know im not the mother of my recruit but i am a proud future wife... i will say that every time i hear the national anthem now i almost cry because i know curtis is going to be a part of keeping this country free... i feel so proud like i have never felt before when i see the flag of the united states it puts a smile on my face and a tear in my eye. Does anybody else feel this way also? before curtis joined the military i didnt know anything about it... nobody in my close family was in the military so i was very scared and confused until i met you guys who are going through this hard time also i want to thank each and everyone of you.... Thank You for reading this and posting about my comments it means a lot!!!!

Amy'sMom: Ok, as most of us have found out who have been on here for a good while, as hard as they try, the guys (i.e., hubbys), just don't "get it." This is a "mom" thing...our chicks have been taken from us....well, ok....they voluntarily WENT....but still....seems like they were taken from us....there is little communication...and we can't get to them! URGH! So unnatural, you know? So...therein lies our emotions....guys just don't understand a mom's heart....but give them credit...they try. They just can't "feel" it like we can....but...as a veteran mom, I'm here to say that it gets so much better when they are in A School....cell phone back, texting, emailing, some even SKYPE. YIPPEE! So better days are coming!

CJ's Mom: Wake up tomorrow...and know that it is a new day. Old problems are still there, but hopefully will seem more manageable...I hope that you experience some "sunshine" tomorrow....chin up!

oh yes, love the weather station too!! I wish it was 60 here, not 80! It's almost November and it should be about 55-60!! At least it's not terribly cold yet for your guys and gals!!

CJ's mom...yucky day for you! Go ahead and cry!!! I'm so sorry to hear this about the family, just pray for them...maybe the young lady will start to take care of herself...I'll be praying for you and for them!

Diannep and Cindy, thanks for helping us out! Of course, Jessica as well! You all have been a great help not only to me, but I think all of us on here!

I was so proud tonight...I went to a MS basketball game with my two youngest--ones a cheerleader and the other is a mascot--they go to the same school my recruit went to (it's a k-12), I had so many people ask about Michael and a few more get his address....they wanted me to know they were thinking about him and praying for him...and many of them mentioned they were thinking of everyone that was with him up there as well....teachers, parents and alot of the kids! So, there are people in Hampshire TN that are thinking about our sailors as well!!!

As if I didn't have enough emotions going on in my head - I just found out today my Aunt who was a great support system for me as a teen and young adult is being treated for Dementia and then her husband my uncle has bladder cancer. My son Collin has a cousin who is their grand daughter he is close to - found out she is pregnant and not taking care of herself. She is 17. Today I want to cry

All of you in this group need to realize that you are still in the highly emotional, little communication/"what the heck" is going on time. Visit other PIR groups that have gone before you when you can...you can get alot of info on there....watch the one right in front of you (11/24/10) because you will see "the change" that comes about midway through bc....the recruits start to realize that they ARE doing things right and they finally realize that they will make it. In the first few weeks where yours are now, it is not so much that way. But the...confidence starts to come up...communication becomes a bit better....and fear and sadness for you all is replaced with excitement and pride! So, as Cindy says....hang in there!

Oh thank goodness - you know I am really a calm laid back person, but lately I just want to completely loose control. I totally believe Cindy with the comment about hanging on tight. It has been an emotional ride and we have several weeks left. Again Thanks!!

JessicaB - When the recruiter gave me the address he didnt tell me to put the Recruit Training Command line in there. Do you think that will cause a problem? I have sent several letters and shared the address with family without that in there. Please let me know what you think - now I will obsess over that.
