proudksmom I have not heard anything from my son either. I thought they would be able to call more. I still dont know when he will be leaving for SA Texas. He still did not know anything when we dropped him off yesterday. I saw the nex was open when we went by.
He hated the scarf too. There was always lint all over everything. We went some where that had a black light boy did he glow with white all over his shirt hair. That you could not see in the regular light. Good thing they dont inspect them with a black light.

Sailor'sGirl NukeWifeToBe - you're wonderful for knitting your Sailor a scarf and don't let anyone tell you different. I'll bet that will mean more to him than a store-bought one!
Just wanted to say I just heard from my daughter - she's coming home for Christmas! Hooyah! Happy Navy Mom right here!

Has anyone from div. 17 recieved a call today? I thought maybe they could call since they have graduated and have some freedom. Does anyone know if the NEX was open on Sunday for my daughter to mail a package?

Arrived home to Maine last night at midnight. 6 inches of snow when I woke up so I am glad I drove through. PIR was absolutely fantastic. We were fortunate to have the new Sailor for the whole weekend. He is quite a man now. The A school campus at GL is beautiful and I held my goodbye tears for the parking lot so as not to embarass him. That was a long pause. Thanks for being out there ladies. N4M was the miracle I needed. PS Who chose those shedding scarves anyway!

As we were sitting traffic to take Nate back, suddenly all these Sailors started jumping out of cars and walking "briskly" (not running) towards their ship. We did everything we could to get him back on time. At least everyone was not punished. But then a lot were G&G so what can they do?? My Nate told me that his room mate in Mississippi is from his division. Glad that he already knows someone. It was such a great time!!!

1 sailor in my son's division was 10 min late Friday night & had to stand watch Saturday 12p-4p

Nate hates them too. My sister and I are thinking nice white scarfs for Christmas. I don't think that they have to be Navy issued. I hope not anyway...
