Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by Marti Jacob's Mom on December 1, 2010 at 12:05pm: navywife'E you will not get a call until late afternoon. Most from other Div. said they did not start getting calls until after 3:00. So hang in there it will come. I know I run every time the phone rings here.

My phone died in the middle of the night last night, I haven't heard from him since Thanksgiving & I'm getting nervous! I got really sick following my trip back from visiting with him on Thanksgiving & I am afraid I might have passed something along to him or vice versa. I saw that his Division was doing battlestations last night but I haven't got a voice mail from him & not sure if he called because my phone had died. PLEASE get back to me if your loved one is in ship 09 div 016 & you have received the "I'm a Sailor" call!!!!

Kept waking up...thinking...only 5 more hours kid..hang in there...then only 4 more hours son...you can do this...only 3 more hours boy... it's almost over....I couldnt stay asleep for anything...Hopefully they're done now...and we'll all get the wonderful news we've been waiting for...
