For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by diannep on November 24, 2010 at 8:37am: Remember, I'm a Sailor calls should start coming in around 2 pm GL time today...maybe a little before, maybe a little later. Have your phones close by! Since there are only 2 divisions that went through last night, they each should get nice long "talk time!"

Comment by diannep on November 24, 2010 at 8:35am: CO727: I would hate to try and guess, but I would imagine that it would be by the end of this week, but just a guess. But it is also possible that some final tests for your group are on Monday since they don't go through BattleStations until Tues. Obviously we know there will be no tests tomorrow.

Just know this...you will only get a phone call if they don't pass something. No news will be good news. I'm hoping that some get to call tomorrow on Thanksgiving so there may be more info then.

Ladies, be sure to ask your recruits if they call if they have finished all testing before BattleStations. If they tell you what tests they still have to take and when, please post with your division numbers. I know that it is a relief to each of you all when you know your recruit has passed another test!
