Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on November 23, 2010 at 11:58am: Jacob's mom, I just asked my daughter about how they order the pics. She said they just take the pics and then leave. Later when they go to get the Div group picture taken that is when they order the pictures. She said they ordered a week or two before PIR so I bet he has ordered them after he wrote the letter or will order them this week. If he gets to call be sure and ask.

I just copied that from someone else's reply so not sure where to get the order form.

Comment by Lynne on November 23, 2010 at 11:13am: Yes you can order pictures but that seems odd, you will need to go to do it the day of PIR. When you go to the NEX after PIR and everyone does because it is where you will meet your sailor, the building right before the NEX, but in the same complex is where you order pictures, DVDs etc. Go in there, you may need to have your sailor with you and they will help you.

Does anyone have the phone number to order shirts? They are just up the road from me so I will be able to go pick them up. I slacked off and didn't get an order in for ribbons. Boo! They sound beautiful!
