PA Navy Mom: My SR did not know that we were going to be there during Thanksgiving for his brother's PIR so he did not send me the Adopt a Sailor Form.

I emailed the Public Affairs Office (way past the Nov. 7th due date) and they sent me the form. I completed it and emailed it back. They are very accommodating to make sure the SR's get to spend time with their families during the holidays. I received confirmation that the request was approved the Monday before Thanksgiving- so you do have time but I would not wait. Make sure you bring a copy of the completed form with you since they match it up to the one that they have. They do not care that it is not the "yellow" copy. The process for us was seamless even though I had to scramble at the last minute (thank God for N4M's- that is where I got the email address)

Email: rtc.pao@navy.mil

PM me if you need any additional information.

Hello everyone. I was on the recruit training commands facebook page and saw something wonderful. They were gracious enough to post some Thanksgiving pictures. It took time, but I saw my recruit. They all look really well. I hope everyone has a blessed Thanksgiving and the count down has begun.
