Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Is the confirmation for the adopt a sailor form all you need or should i receive a separate approval email? Tia

Stardust:  Sadly it has to come from your SR.  You can try emailing RTC about it (email address is in your form letter) but I believe that is what they will tell you.  Worth a try though!  Hopefully it works out.

Good Morning!

Manasboys: ill be praying for your SR as well as you

As moms its hard when we are so far away and hear the stress in our child's voice knowing all WE want to do is give them a BIG huge.

Gods plane is bigger and betters than ours even when we don't understand we just have to hold on to that.

I"m so sorry  Mamasboy.  That seems like a long recovery for a sprained ankle?   Can't imagine it would take that long for it to heal.  Lets hope that he is declared medically fit in just a couple of weeks or so and back to training.

Yes, sadly you are correct.  Only those who are still in the 12/31 PIR group would be allowed the Christmas visit (the 01/08 group also).  Please keep everyone posted in this group on the status of your SR.

Hello!

"In the sixth month of Elizabeth's pregnancy,

God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth,

a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married

to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David.

The virgin's name was Mary. The angel went to

her and said, 'Greetings, you who are highly

favored! The Lord is with you.' "

                                                          Luke  1:26-28
