I'm here in our hotel in Waukegon. Alicia's 6:22 am flight arrived on time and she was waiting for us at our gate for Milwaukee. We arrived at 10 am and was at our hotel by noon. Our room was ready, so they let us check in early. Joe & Thomas have already had a swim. It's cold,, but sunny right now.

Cynthia, my son is the RCPO of div 030 and when I spoke to him on Thanksgiving, he told me that battlestations would be on Wednesday for their division.

Hi Laura,
I'm a Navy vet with a son in Div 030. This sounds like quite a bit of confusion is reigning on a holiday, with a fair amount of the leadership involved in managing the Adopt-a-Sailor, or spending time with their own families. Probably only about half of the staff is on base today, so it's not surprising that a tough situation is being horribly mis-managed. I truly think that after Thanksgiving liberty is done and RTC resumes it normal routine, that sanity will prevail. Hang in there - it's gotta be better than it sounds.

Hello ladies, I got my call this morning from my son, we were able to speak for 45 minutes (woohoo). He is with another guy at his grandparents house about 10 minutes from base. He said Div 030 will be doing Battlestations on Wed, 12/3.

The forecast for PIR looks awesome! I can't wait to get back home to experience my first real winter in 25 years, and my son gets to enjoy it with me. Hope y'all enjoy it! Driving in the snow in Chicago isn't really that bad, since it's so flat - you just have to drive slower, and give yourself room to stop. That's all there is too it.
