Barb J-thanks so much for that Battle Stations video. I called my husband over to the computer for that one. It was awesome but sure got me a little sniffy too. We all have a lot to be proud of for each and every one of our kids. Gail-just a suggestion as far as air travel (if you're flying) since I worked for USAirways for 18 yrs....although Alex cannot stretch his leg out into the aisle way you'll want to request him to be on an aisle seat with the bad leg on the aisle side. It will make it more comfy for him. Also, if possible, the bulkhead (front row) would be best for him. It'd be nice if they'd upgrade him for free to first class but I wouldn't count on that. Beth-I'm clase you heard from Michael today I guess I will hope to get a letter from Justin soon since our last letter came last Monday.

Maryellen thank you for the welcome to the meet n greet for all family members. Thank your daughter for her service to our country. Our 14 yr old daughter has mentioned that she may want to be in the military when she's 18. We'll wait and see. Kids change their minds so much. Hope to see you soon and you have a safe trip as well.

Beth, our sons are together in division 81 ship 13 apparantly. We haven't heard from him, either, since receiving the PIR packet. We had received a LOT of phone calls from Justin before Christmas (about 5-6). Now all of sudden nothing. We were told by the recruiter that he should graduate mid to end of Feb. so perhaps they are working double time to get to Jan. 30th. We will be flying in 1/29 afternoon then flying to PNS 1/30 so that we can spend the weekend with him there after he's checked in for A school. If the Navy changes that plan, that's fine too since we all fly for free due to my airline retiree benefit. I will tell all of you moms out there this...my husbands cousin is retired Air Force. Her daughter just graduated PIR in August. She said that a lot of times on that Thursday the kids have to clean in the morning and may be released for Liberty. She said some have to be back at 10pm others at 7pm, etc. So we're hopeful to spend time with Justin then. I'd like to come to the meet n greet but may not if we're with our son. Also-here's a question...is the meet n greet just for moms or can my husband and 13&14 yr. old daughters come too? Sorry so long of a note. Thanks to you all for being there and to your children for what they're all doing.

Hello! My name is Samantha and my boyfriend is actually graduating on Jan 15th. When your son has watch he can leave after he's done unless of course he has it at night. I was also told that there is a place on base where you can spend time with them before watch.
