C'mon everybody where are you? Don't leave us!

Has anybody gotten their DVD from PIR yet? I know they said 6-8 weeks (which will be next week)-but what the heck takes so long for a video I wonder.

You too, Gail. Well Justin is in Pensacola for IT (computer technology) A schooling. He was there since PIR date (got in about 10:30pm that same day). He just a week ago last Thursday was able to start his classes. This weekend he's in the Phase III (I think they call it) where he can leave Friday and come back Sunday so he has 3 buddies that are from Orlando but are on spring break from Florida State Unv. coming over for the weekend. They have a hotel on the beach-they should have fun. We've been over to PNS twice to spend the weekend with him. The last visit we had to take him his car. He likes the base and classes and has made many good friends. Next person..........

Kimberly, that number that I gave you for the video you could also order a group (division) picture. So sorry your son doesn't realize that mommas have to be number one also (gotta say I think they may all be like that, however, when a female comes around). He'll learn someday about that though. Doesn't he have a cell phone to call you from? Not talking to him since Dec. 2nd is a very long time.

We were very lucky to spot our son pretty quickly because we were on the bottom level of the bleachers and when Justin's division came in he was on the very end that swung around to our side. However (funny story)...as we were waiting at the car in the parking lot for him to return from his barracks because he had to give us all the pictures and frames he bought because he was grad n go and didn't have enough room for them, Alyssa (our youngest) went running up to this boy thinking it was Justin. Well...it wasn't. We all laughed hysterical over it. We kept watching for him and we'd all say "there he is" then realize it wasn't him. Like I said before...they all look alike. It was even a bit difficult looking at the division picture to try to pick him out at first. hahahaha

Hi Kimberly, so sorry you couldn't make PIR. It was wonderful. You're welcome to look at my page and see my sons division's pictures (all sailors entering looked the same). Justin was division 081. The videos haven't arrived as yet. You can order one, however. Just call the Navy Exchange Photo Lab at 847-578-6205 M-F 7am-3:30pm. The cost for the Video or DVD from them is $29.00. They'd told me it takes 6-8 weeks for delivery. Why it takes so long I have no idea. Our son is in Pensacola for his A schooling so I can't say that I saw your son.

You're welcome. There are other hotels in that program (Comfort Inn & Suites, Sleep Inn, etc). It's just we like the Quality Inn's the best for all that it offers.

Hey all, I have discovered gold. (not really-but I've discovered something really good). If you all find yourselves visiting hotels more than usual because of now having a sailor (I know we have-we've been in hotels 2 out of 3 weekends getting over to Justin while he's in A schooling at Pensacola) I wanted to share this...the Quality Inn group has a free program called the Choice Priveleges rewards program. From Feb 5th-the end of April if you have 2 different stays you earn a free night on your next visit. And it's repetitive. You can keep earning over and over for 2 more stays, etc. Aside from that promo period they have their normal program where you can still accrue for free stays, etc. There is a Quality Inn right there on Corry Station property that we stayed at. It was nice. Clean, safe, reasonable pricing, free bfast and they're very friendly. See choicepriveleges.com. Happy free hotel stays!

Beth-congrats to your son. That had to be awful. Our son is an IT so he doesn't have to go thru that. However, I must admit I had a chuckle along with you all about the yogurt.

As far as the tattoo stuff, I too heard that they all get them. Our son is such on the straight and narrow that I told my husband that I can't imagine him ever getting one but I know to expect it. It's their choice now, however. I must admit I had always wanted a tattoo myself but never did it. Why?-the needle thing. I hate hate hate needles. Once I put a temporary tattoo on to freak out my family (parents, brother) and it worked. We laughed about it though.

Still there. I just pulled the and checked. She's 1% ahead 46 to 45. I've never looked on N4M. Perhaps it can't be posted on N4M-not sure.

Typo last time. Should read I just pulled the 'website' and checked that way. I'd actually looked under blogs at first and never found it there. But I didn't check much. I'm sure if there was any problems that an email would be sent. Don't worry yourself over it. Ignorence is bliss.
