Sandra have a great trip. We are leaving for Washington on the 19 to spend time with our Navy kid and his family. Mason is telling everyone his grandma is coming to get him and he's ready to go.

God bless you, Sarah and I'm very sorry to hear about your loss.  but as Arwen told you, you still have a good chance of having a healthy baby.  Please take care.

Arwen, you sound busy.  If there's one thing that never stops around here it's the laundry! Even with the boys away, we still have a lot of it.  In fact, I'm working on some right now.

We are starting to get very excited as we expect our son in Iraq home in the early summer.  I just called a place that makes banners to gather some info on ordering one.  I am so looking forward to hugging that kid.  : )

Sarah, I miscarried during a visit to a maternity shop during my first pregnancy (before Chris). Then I went on to have Chris, and my other two. Of six (known) pregnancies, I had three babies. My aunt spent 11 years trying to get pregnant, and eventually had two. So you still have a good chance of having a healthy baby someday.

I didn't even realize today was Mother's Day until I got online after making breakfast. It wasn't on my radar. Of course that means that no one else knew it was MD either, so my husband left early in the morning for work and to put in some volunteer hours, and the kids didn't get up until about 11. We have no plans for anything special. It's "work day" for us, so I have about 20 loads of laundry and the living room to clean up, while the kids do their chores. Plus we have to set up a bedroom for Chris - he's been sleeping on the couch.

Happy Mother's Day to everyone. I guess today is a good time since I haven't been on much lately to congratulate Janie on her baby girl. I guess I am following in Janie and Nichelle's footsteps in the fact that we have been having issues trying to have a baby as well. So with that being said, I am sad to say Mother's Day will never mean the same to us as lose a baby this week. Hope everyone else has a great day!!

Arwen, I'm sorry to hear about Chris. Hopefully this will give him some time to think about what he wants to do and he finds something he loves.

Happy Mother's Day to everyone!  I hope that everyone has a nice day.

I'm glad that Chris has arrived safely, Arwen.  I hope you have a special day with him and with your other children too.

To all you Navy Mom's, may you have a wonderful mother's day.

Chris arrived home this morning. He's bummed about leaving the Navy, and making plans to find work at the port. He loves being at sea, and driving ships.

I'm with SlimSam and Army/Navy Mom. This Easter was sad. I don't know why it's so much worse for them to be away on a holiday than any other day of the year, but it is. I'd planned to keep busy doing gardening, but it poured all day. My pretty little flowers had to wait. Today is beautiful, though. I'm going to head out and make up for lost time now. Hope everyone has a great week!

Hi Melissa, glad to that hear all is well.  I agree with Sandra...try to enjoy being in Norfolk while you're there.

I hope that everyone had a nice Easter.  I really missed our sons yesterday.  : (

It was our second Easter with them away and I've decided that I'll never get used to this.

I made a special dinner for the three of us here.  Towards the end of cooking the kitchen was getting kind of hot.   I'm sure glad that Thanksgiving does not fall in the warmer months. We have not turned on the A/C yet, but probably will soon.

Okay, I guess the hot weather is just around the corner now.  The one good thing is that we expect our son home from his deployment sometime in June. So if it takes hot weather to get to that time, then I'll take it.
