Okay, this sucks. We're waiting for my paycheck to get our airline tickets for PIR, and the price of tickets has already gone up $100 per person compared to what they were two weeks ago! If they go up any more, we won't be able to afford to go. Or we'll have to stay at a homeless shelter while we're there.

Jasmine, he will only have to leave immediately if he is Grad and Go. If he is, he will probably tell you in the next few weeks. If he doesn't say anything about it, he probably is not GnG and will have PIR weekend liberty.

Hey, I'm glad I found this site. I was a little down after the hubby's call today. He did say that he thought all of 95 were grad n go. He also said that he was told it wasn't based off of their school but the bootcamp it's self. I don't know I was just happy he called! I hope everyone who didn't get a call gets one soon.

JoyLove- I got my call about 3:30 Chicago time.

About what time (Chicago time) are all of you ladies getting your calls? My boyfriend is in Div 99 *pray for the call!* and I'm trying to gauge the time. Thanks!

Deneen, only Great Lakes A-school Grad-and-Go sailors get weekend liberty. Many (more than half?) of the new grads go to Pensacola, San Diego, or one of the other A-school locations.

If Grad and Gos are going to A school anywhere but Great Lakes they have to leave almost immediately. Often they have plane tickets for a same-day flight to their new school and have to be at the airport within a few hours. Sometimes they don't leave until Saturday morning, so families may get Friday. Families can meet them at the airport and hang out with them until their plane leaves, but that's small comfort: 2-3 hours in an airport lounge instead of two days exploring Chicago together just doesn't cut it. :~(

Chris will be going to school in Pensacola, so if he's Grad-and-Go we're going to have to cancel the trip and settle for the PIR DVD to see Chris.

So, if 97 and 98 got calls today, that means 99 and 100 get calls tomorrow. AND I HAVE TO WORK. That means hubby will get the call! AARRGH.

Yahoo!!!! I'm so glad the calls are coming in! Keep 'em coming!!!!

I'm so glad to hear about all the calls .....this is like Christmas paper flying everywhere hearing all the happy exclamations that news is coming.

I found out that the info about Phillip's grad date was just a technicality and that his PIR date is actually 2/19 - just as the form letter indicated. He just won't leave GL until the following week. PTL!!! :-) I'm so glad that everything is fine!

I guess div 99 will be tommorrow?! I hope so.

This might be a Div 913 issue, or it might be just my recruit, or maybe a computer mistake, but Phillip's recruiter told me he is 2/24 PIR rather than 2/19 that his form letter said!!!! What the flip? I haven't received a phone call saying he is ill, hurt, or has failed anything....so why the delay? I wonder if I should email the public affairs office or if I should just chill and trust. :-( :-(
