That's what I love about living on the coast: no extremes. We're about 75 in summer, with lows around 50, and in winter our highs are around 55 and lows around 40. We rarely freeze, and rarely get temperatures above 85.

Good morning everyone!! Hmmmm, chili sounds good, think I'll make that for supper tonight.

No letter today :-( but I did get the nuclear sub ornament and little eagle clutching a flag ornament that I ordered on Monday. I'll probably use them as room decorations until next Christmas.

Hope you all get letters. :-) Not only do I love hearing their news, hearing all the moms excitedly comment is sort of like watching someone open a gift, it brings joy to everyone around. :-)

My great-uncle used to be police chief in Chula Vista. I'm not sure when he retired, but he was there for a *long* time.

I made a midnight run to Walmart for therapy ice cream, and forgot to look at calling cards....oh well, I always end up at Walmart on a daily basis anyway, so I can look.

If Phillip knew that he needed a calling card, I'm sure he got one because he is pretty independent and wouldn't want us buying what he could buy - but I'm sort of concerned that he hasn't had the freedom to go get a phone card, if he didn't know ahead of time that he would need one.

Melissa, is that fish taco place on Rosecrans still there? They had AMAZING food when I was there.

Melissa, you can seriously use that photo as blackmail someday. ROFL! I love it.

Didn't get a call today, hoping for a letter tomorrow. I'm about to go mail two more letters to Phillip....

Did you guys who are getting calls send a phone card, or is it something they could have bought at NEX?
