Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

our flight does not get in to Chicago until 4:00 - I don't know what to expect for driving at that time of day....

Hi all :) I got a phone call also - and yes it was good to hear his voice! He also sounded tired,but doing good. He said that he loves the food.... Nancy and Millie, I had told him that I was chatting with Mom and Wife of guys in his div - he went around and found them lol since they call each other by last names he had to go around asking who is Corey and whose Mom is Nancy....lol ( I didn't know"Alex's name at the time I wrote the letter....)

is anyone here willing to take the lead on setting up a meet and greet? I know that there are a couple of places that groups usually meet, but I haven't researched that yet.

lol thats great Cheryl - I have been taking my phone everywhere - I was at the accupunturist today and put my phone in my pocket - and was trying to figure out how I'd get it out if it rang.... I had needles in my hand....

hmmm I notice it is the girlfriends who are getting the phone calls..... :) lol I asked my Son before he left how this is going to work, is the girlfriend or parents getting the phone calls..... he said parents but now I am wondering..... my husband said and you believed him? lol I'm not used to sharing my son. I'm working on it though.

Friday 2/27 is graduation - I made reservations for the hotel 2/26-3/2 there might be a meet and Greet on Thurs night - but I don't think anyone has planned this yet - any takers?

yes, if you tell them that you are there for BC graduation and you will have to give your sailors name.
