This was sent to me this morning on facebook regarding the Cubs visiting the Navy...
Naval Station Great Lakes
Mrs. Gulledge: We didn't get any area media. Only the Cubs media staff and Navy media were there. We'll be posting photos from the event today.

EXCITING NEWS - my son's girlfriend just got a letter. She said that their division (67) was picked (only them) to get to go see the Cubs tonight. This is the first time for the Navy to go so there will be a newscast there. So we will have to find the stations on the web I guess to see it.
Another funny thing. My son's regular glasses broke so he took his pictures in the "Navy" glasses. Will he look like a NERD or what? I have no clue to why he didn't just not wear them. I may have to find a WAL-MART and take pictures while we are gone.

Dear Jodi, there are no words big enough to express my sympathy for you. My dear mother died in a car accident 21 years ago when my soon-to-be sailor was just 3 months old. I still miss her. If you are one to look for blessings anywhere you can find them, be thankful that Cody knew her, is old enough to remember her for the rest of his life, and that your mother was able to watch.you grow into a fine mother of a wonderful son.
