We heard from Em last night! Short call. She had to call some other folks after us. Em's Mom was out and missed the call. Her younger brother (17) and I got to chat with her for a bit.

She has been battling colds. Made it through Hell Week ok. Em achieved sharpshooter with a 205 and was really proud about that. However, she was more excited about telling a story of an RDC who brought in a bag of candy. bar. She said the RDC likes to say, "calories in, calories out." She said the RDC said, "who wants candy?" Nobody was volunterring. Finally, the people began straggling up to get fun bar . . . . like bad kids. Em said the little 3 Muskateers Bar was totally worth it.

She said they get gassed tomorrow except they don't call it a gas chamber. Sounds like its Pepper Spray they have to work through.

I copied her facebook pages by using CTR-PrtScn to grab the image of the monitor. Then, I pasted the captured image from the clipboard to my photo software. I think you could also paste it just as easily to a document. Then, printed it.

Does anyone know how too send their son or daughter a Recruit Writing Pack through the Navy Exchange (NEX)? I cannot decode that problem.

Thanks Charlotte for the suggestions for Chicago. I noticed Avatar is playing at the IMAX and have already sent Emily some screen shots ; - ) Incidentally, she really liked screen shots of her Facebook page. They pass our stuff around.

It is easy to post letters. I scanned mine at work to a PDF file and then uploaded it to my Google docs account. Then, you just get a link to the file. Hope some of the others can post.

I did get permission from Em about posting her letters. I hope she remembers that. I hope the RDCs don't see her letter. (I thought about that after posting.)

Happy Birthday to Cody!

Read another letter from Ian. Was dated on new years. He got sick for the 2nd time. He said they were working hard because of hell week. They finally got their first flag, he was kinda sad it took so long though.

Only 3 more weeks! whoo hooo
