This is the final test for your SRs.  When they complete this, there is a capping ceremony where they trade in their recruit cap for a sailor cap and they are sailors!  BattleStations is a 12 hour overnight drill, encompassing all of their training and any situation they may encounter when deployed on a ship.  They are evaluated individually and in their small team.  They must focus and stay awake but the adrenaline is going so hard, that usually isn't much of a problem.  Teamwork is the name of the game here. The training ship (USS Trayer) was designed by Disney and is very realistic...they go over to the ship in the evening and finish the next morning.

Up to 4 divisions can go through at once, but they also can go through with only 2 brother divisions, or 2 sets of brother divisions, or one set of brother divisions with the 900 or 800 division. Brother divisions always go together. They start with the lowest division numbers and move up....800 and 900 divisions go randomly. They can start BattleStations on Thurs a week before PIR, or Sun or Mon the week of PIR.  Depends on the size of the PIR group and their progress in training.  The larger PIR groups (13/14 divisions) may start Wed the week before PIR if the previous PIR group has completed theirs and doesn't need to go on Wed night. They do not have BattleStations on Fri or Sat nights because of Captains Cup (athletic competition between divisions in the PIR group) on the Sat before PIR. This is what a Chief said about BattleStations:  150-300 recruits go through a night, out of that number 3-10 recruits will not pass and have to repeat it, and the most important thing is TEAMWORK.  If the recruits keep their mouths shut, listen, and work as a team, they should pass.

Here are the brother divisions in this PIR group:

91+92, 93+94, 95+96, 97+98, 99+100, 101+102

917

Please ask your SRs for BattleStations dates for their division and post that here and on the main board.  I will try and get a schedule started here then.  HOOYAH!

Here's to Div 092!!!!  Go get them at Battlestations!!!  Show them what a great team you are!!!!!  And to my son, I can't wait to see you in 9 days......

We must be as estatic as they are... Don't know if I will be able to sleep?!

HooYah!

I can't sleep either.  I was so emotional today just like when he left in January.   WOW!!!!!!

HooYah!

Getting so excited tonight is the big night for your SR's and then tomorrow the big call I really can't wait...
HooYah!
Letter dated from my SR on 27 Feb 11, says they are now doing Battle Stations on the 7th which ever day that might be =(.

Ok, ladies.  Some confusion on BattleStations.  There is a lady on the 3/4 group that says one of their divisions is going tonight.  We thought it was last night...but no calls yet from this division.  If this is true, then 91 and 92 will not to go tonight (they don't mix PIR groups with BattleStations).  They would to go tomorrow night with 93, 94.  I was advised today that 917 has been switched to Mon, Mar 7th/Tues, Mar 8th.

So.....will 99 and 100 go with 917 on Mon/Tues, or will they go with 101 and 102 maybe on Tues, Mar 8th/Wed, Mar 9th?  I need to hear from some in those divisions if they have a date please.  Right now, I'm keeping them off the schedule to avoid confusion.  99 and 100 have to go before 101 and 102, or else with them.

Need info please!

diannep, Hapsmom got a call from her SR in Div. 095 he confirmed they are going tomorrow night and expect a call on Fri. So looks like 091, 092, 093, 094 must be going tonight!
Carol, if Div 095 is going tomorrow, Thursday 3/3, then will Div 096 be going with them as well as they are brother divisions? I haven't heard from my son who is in Div 096 in over a week and am getting confused on which Div is going when. lol
Terry, unfortunately according to the confusion this AM...still nothing is concrete.  We still don't know.  But if 091,092,093.094 did go last night, chances are the next 2-4 divisions will go tonight.  Sorry!  guess we wait and see
Thanks! I wonder who's more nervous - our kids or us? LOL I almost feel like I'm the one doing Battlestations just waiting to hear from them.
