@diannep- You're right!! I completely forgot she wore clothes that she would donate....Thank you!!

@navymalespouse....was she planning to donate her clothes that she wore to boot camp?  If so, you may not get a box...otherwise, I bet it will be there later this week and the form letter too.

@momsnavyman:  Mine was a FL boy (South FL) born and raised too...thankfully, they don't keep them outside much.  All of their PT is done inside...except their marching (and snow shoveling!)...and then they dress them VERY warmly...face mask too!  Leather gloves...my son said he never once felt cold.  Now, he is stationed in VA and complains that he gets cold...but do you think he is dressing the way he did at boot camp??  NOOO...he has reverted back to his S. FLA dress..so no wonder he is cold!  Welcome to this group...a great group of ladies who will love getting to know you!

well ladies i am now in the PIR 3/18 group, my son was delayed a week because of a special program he joined, i received a phone call yesterday (1/31) my first, he went in on 1/11, it was awesome, he sounded homesick, and tired, but overall at least i know he is now recieving letters and he is making friends. i didnt get much more than 5 min, but he talked like he may be calling me again this weekend. sure hope he is doing ok in the snow, cause he is a florida boy, born and raised.   hope to get to all you a little better as we get closer to the big day.

Got two letters today from my SR  in one envelope   This time they were address to me and not the girlfriend :)   In the first one he said most of his days include being screamed at by instructors, waiting, standing at attention in full gear (40 lbs of winter clothes), organizng and other medical excursions.  Food and music are his two escapes

In the second later which he says was an update written on P6 he says officially I am fit for duty, never before could I say that I signed a waiver allowing someone to kick my ass

Glad my boy has a sense of humor
