My son has also gone to Pensacola.  His roomy's family is from NY.  I am sure they all went together and mostly likely know each other.  He has stated they really like it there, weather is great and they are learning their way around

Yes, lisap, we did meet! I felt so bad for crying when I said good bye to my son when you said you lived in New York and I'm so close to Pensacola...I guess it wasn't the weekend of visiting that we had hoped for with them being grad & go but still appreciated what we had..And yes, my son sounds pretty happy too! I  knew that two of the guys that flew with him are in the room with him...so your son is one of them? Yay! I hope to visit as soon as my son says it's ok! I sure hope your family is able to visit Pensacola too...I think you'll like it ;)

My son is also in Pensacola at Corey Field.

Jenine--I think we met at O'Hare as the boys were boarding the plane--I was the mom from NY.

I also believe our sons are in the same barrack. They sound pretty happy there!
