Hi Leanne

Do you know if your daughter volunteered for ship staff or was she assigned.  My son is also on ship staff and is finding it challenging not being with the rest of the group.  Thanks, Jeannine

She said she was told she "volunteered".  She is enjoying ship staff.  Did your son mention what is more challenging for him?
Just that he wished he had more time for PT and studying with the rest of his division.
Hello..my son to is on ship 7 div 111...he got sick too when he got there..was running 101.7 fever and also chipped his tooth ..sprained his ankle and now does the laundry for all 88 guys! He volunteered..so they promoted him to a E3! I'm so very proud of him...how is your son?
No news since last week.  I am sending him all my positive thoughts.  I'm hoping that things are getting easier.  I am also VERY Proud of him.
He is doing all the laundry....wow!  It sounds like a lot of them were sick the first couple of weeks.  Was he on LLT with the sprained ankle?
Awesome news!  Thanks for sharing.  My SR said they were told they get another call in two weeks.  She traded stamps for getting her boots shined and asked me to send lots more stamps.
LOL!  Good For her!  That's teamwork.
Letters from my SR today.  She said they kicked a.... at Marlinspike.   She has a friend that is getting no mail and has no one going to PIR for her.  I would love to share her name if anyone in this Division would like to send her a letter.

my son is in another division but I am more than willing to write to her, just send me her name in a message. Also, there is a group where you can add her name with many people who are there specifically for that purpose, so no recruit goes without mail:

Thanks for letting us know! :)

Thanks so much!  I will send you a message.  I did join that group and asked for names so  I could write others but haven't gotten any responses.
I will write to anyone that doesn't have the support of their family or fiends.  My mom was in the Army in 1965 and never got the first letter from her family. She said it was the most lonely, sad feeling in the world.
