I'm glad that you were able to chat for so long. Maybe our next call will be longer. Thank you for your support. I hope your son feels better soon.
Cool!!! I didn't think to ask my hubby if he knew him. I was just so happy to hear his voice. We got to speak for about 20 or so minutes tonight. (Had to share him with his family of course.) I did get another letter today as well. He said they get to send out letters every Sunday, so I should expect one every Thursday.
Jean, I'm so sorry to hear that your son isn't enjoying his experience. I do hope things get better for him. My hubby did say that everyday is pretty much the same routine. Yesterday was his bday and he didn't even remember until he had to write the date. He also didn't know how long he'd been there. Thought it had only been two weeks.
No, I think the post I read was wrong. From what I have read since then it might be another 2 weeks :-(
Have you gotten any more letters? I'm hoping I get one today. It was last Friday when we received our first real letter. Our group's count down says only 28 more days!! They have passed the half way point.
Hey guys!!! How are you guys doing? Just wanted to let you all know about the navy ribbons. If you haven't ordered any you should really contact LaLa Ribbons, she has her work posted on her page, and they are only $5 each!!! You can request it made any way you would like. She also has scrapbook supplies.
I ordered 4 (2 for me, 1 for his mom, and 1 for his gma). Ordering now would be a great idea b/c she said she gets bombarded right before PIR.
Also, are any of your SRs going to Pensacola for A School?
I received my letter yesterday (a day later than normal; I assume it was due to the holiday on Monday), he did say that things were getting more tolerable b/c now it's just routine. He did also say that some of the younger guys are really homesick (some left b/c it was just too much for them).
But send me a msg with your son's name, I'm sure he'll know him b/c he has two PO positions. I'll tell him to check on him in my next letter. :)
My son has two positions also. He had one and he was given another, but he is hoping the new job will be given to someone else. Can you message me with your sons name? I don't know my way around this sThanks, Debbie
