It was a call to tell me to fax our sons birth certificate and ss card. It was needed so he could finish his processing. It wasnt even a minute long.

So jealous of all you getting calls already... I guess you are ahead of the curve since your SR's left a few weeks ago. Mine just entered P-2 unfortunately. :/

I got a quick call from my sailor yesterday.  It totally made my day!!!!  He wasn't able to call me on Wednesday because the calling cards I sent with him didn't work.  He sounded tired or sad, probably a little of both.

Either way were all getting our form letters today, and probably the next couple of days. When did your SR leave?

The recruiter tells me Division R 2011-110, that has no meaning to me :/

nalison, If you have not already, you will receive a form letter from your SR with that information in it.  It will have their mailing address, PIR date and their ship/division number.

You wait for the form letter, or if your lucky your recruiter may give that info to you. My sailor called me last night, thats how I found out.

How do you know what ship # your sailor is in?

I'm really surprised my husband isn't in a 900 division. He's been in a very successful cover band for the past 4 years! I'll have to ask him why he chose not to offer his services as a singer...

I am so glad you all are starting to get the form letters and even a couple of real letters it looks like. Just write them as much as you can, every day if possible. They live for mail call as it is their only connection with the outside world. You will be glad you did. If anyone has questions about the 900' divisions let me know. My sailor was in choir. And if your SR's are in love look out, they tend to fall deeper and start talking marriage very quickly lol. My sailor got married during A-school.
