Received my PIR ribbons from Lala today! So pretty :)
I also had told my son that if he knew of a friend that won't have family going to PIR that they're welcome to come with us for the day...just can't stand the thought of any of them not getting a special day out...
And Ashley, getting your hair done in preparation for the trip...now that's my kind of getting ready!! Anytime we have a special occasion that's one of my first thoughts!!! Gotta make sure the hair is freshly done!!
Good Evening Everyone. I have been out of town for a week and had to catch up on all the news for the past 7 days. Started back at page 18. I did receive my call yesterday and my son is a Sailor. He sounded very tired, but said everything went well. He and I just cried. Our emotions just overwhelmed us both. We will be there for graduation and can not wait. I will ask him if any of the sailors in his division are not able to have any family attend, we will be more than happy to have them come with us.
Everyone dont forget to sign up for meet and greet. I look forward to meeting all of you.
They rarely have any pics of Captains cup. They only have those if someone is doing some kind of PR thing or something. I have seen it happen only a couple of times since I have been on this site.
Mrshdge-it depends on where they are going and when. If they are Saturday Departure you can meet them at teh airport and give them their laptop, cell phone etc to take with them to A-school. For those who are not leaving on Saturday you will have to wait until they get to A-school and have an address. Then you can send them those things as well as some civilian clothes. They will know what they can have and when once they get to A-school.
Only about 5 and a half more days ladies:) Can't wait. Got my hair done today for next week and almost have everything for the road trip!
Can't wait to hear word of CC! Hopefully RTC will post pics of FB!
