Jean, if he was delayed in his PIR, he has to make a supervised call to you...very matter of fact.  So I think all is well.  He may have just been updating his guest list which they do 2 weeks before PIR. That is the final list then and can't be changed.

The call from my son was strange.  He asked about who was coming to graduation. I hope he wasn't trying to tell me that he was going to be delayed two weeks.  I didn't think about it until after I got off the phone and remembered something that he said.  He also said that he sent us another letter so maybe there will be more information then.  He did confirm that battle stations was the 21st for his division.

Su Su- thanks you so much. I am so glad your whole family loves the ribbons I made for you all to wear to PIR. That makes me smile :-)

I wanted to thank everyone in this group for all the kind words, thought, and prayers for my mom. She is recovering from the pneumonia and after a week in the hospital she is feeling better and was able to come home yesterday afternoon. Thanks so much I really appreciate all of you so much.

Don't forget the time changes tonight. SPRING Forward.

Ashley, Thanks now I remember him saying that... Darn. I was hoping to see him for the weekend.

Debbie, you said he's staying in GL for sub school? If your referring to submarine school, that all takes place in Groton, CT. Thats what my fiance is doing:)

I did not get a call today. But I am glad Jeannine did! My son thought he would be grad-n-go. But He was not gotten orders and his recruiter had not idea what is going on. Before my son left for BC he told me me he would be staying in GL for sub school. So if he is grad-n-go I am hoping to see him after he changes locations. I can always hope...

Jean, did the entire Div get calls today?
Comment by diannep on March 12, 2011 at 3:43pm

MissingSailor: I just went outside and flagged down the bus...had my confirmation papers (printed off the internet) in my hand but don't remember that I had to show them. The office is at the pick-up lot for Budget---assuming the same for Hertz???

You can always call and confirm that with them.

I just got a phone call from my son!!  It was so great to hear his voice.  He called to find out how many were coming to graduation. He said that the gas chamber really wasn't that bad.  Just 13 more days!! He will be a grad and go too.  Thanks MissingsailorD.  Our rental from hertz total is $282.06.  We are not locked in though.  Did you have to pay ahead of time?  My son still has to pass his physical test. It's been tough since he caught pneumonia. So close and yet so far. I can't wait. I think I have to wait until I get that I'm a sailor call on the 22nd to confirm anything.
