IS ANYONE INTERESTED IN A PRIVATE SECRET FACEBOOK GROUP where we can group all our info on travel plans and find out the other SR names in our own kids division?  I have one started.  Please message me on this site with your "facebook name" as it is spelled out on FB and I will add you to the locked group.  I just think it's more user-friendly and fun for what we want to know as we get closer to PIR.  Cyndi

Gwynhwyfar:  You may want to join the San Diego group on here and ask your questions there about the Sonar Tech school.
Comment by Gwynhwyfar on March 7, 2011 at 8:17am

He's not, but I'm happy to read the babbling. So far, I haven't found anyone here who has an SR also going to San Diego for Sonar Tech, so I feel all alone in an information vacuum. I wish I knew when the new class was supposed to start or, well, anything! I found one person with an SR going to San Diego but that isn't Sonar, so I don't know if he's following the same program as my husband. I'm just completely lost and confused.

At work, I'm getting ready to be transferred to another building without notice, to cover for someone else's maternity leave AND trying to get my own plans all ready to go for my sub, who will also be coming in for me with no notice. So confused is becoming a normal state for me. :)

Gwyn-I think your husband is also a Corpsman right? If not, I apologize for the long rambling :P
Comment by MissingSailorD (Ship 07 Div 109) on March 7, 2011 at 12:03am
Gwyn-I know how you feel. I don't think even our SRs would know about the Saturday departure or Grad & Go. I have called multiple places (Naval Corps School in GL and the new A school in Texas) and so far they really can't give me a definite answer because their graduation date is so close to the cutoff point. The new class is supposed to start around April 13 in SA so they basically told me that it all depends on whether there are any space for our sailors to "check-in." I'm going to try calling the Naval Corps School Public Affairs in GL tomorrow. I'll let you know what they say if I can get through.
