As far as what to do for the MeetNGreet, other than making your own nametags if you all want something "special" (the Ramada provides write-your-own nametags), they set it all up for you.  You all can do "extras" for it if you would like...or just show up and enjoy meeting one another!

Great, SuSu!  You may want to remind the ladies on here...every now and then...to RSVP to it.  You will be able to see those who do since you are the one who set up the event on the calendar.

I just set up MeetNGreet for the PIR date of the 25th.  Let me know if we all need to discuss on what we want to do
Comment by diannep on March 5, 2011 at 2:53pm

Yes, I know, cyndaroo.  But I thought you would like to see how the 3/11 group set theirs up on the calendar on the side.  Might be easier to just start a discussion up top about the MeetNGreet though and let people discuss and RSVP up there.

No need to call the hotel.  We are the ones to get it on the calendar!  They know that they are having it.

Thanks everyone.  Diannep: I'm not looking for the 3/11 but the 3/25 (actually 3/24)meet n greet.   I just looked again, and I don't see anything yet.  I may have to call the hotel to see what they need.  Cyndi

Good Morning

I have been out of town on business all week and just now getting a chance to check our information.  I been trying to read back what has happend over the past week. I am seeing the MeetNGreet from Diannep, I am not sure where to check this information for our group. I know we are getting close to our PIR on the 25th. Any updates would be great.

cyndaroo: Just noticed that the 3/11 group's MeetNGreet (posted on 3/10) is labeled on the calendar like a specific div.  Remember that the MeetNGreet is for ALL divisons...so best to use the PIR date, not a division number.

The Ramada'a address is :

200 N. Green Bay Rd

Waukegan IL

phone:(847)244-2400

It is a good idea for someone from this group, whoever heads up the MeetNGreet, to call the Ramada the week of PIR and give them an approximate count of N4M attendees.  Just a ballpark figure...but everyone is invited to come, children too, even if you forgot to RSVP.

Comment by diannep on March 5, 2011 at 9:50am
cyndaroo:  There is always a MeetNGreet before PIR.  It is put on by the Ramada Waukegan for all Navy families PIRing the next day, not just N4M families.  It is from 6-8 the night before PIR in the lounge area---light appetizers are served and there is a cash bar, but you can bring your own drink if you like---those staying at the Ramada will receive 2 free drink vouchers..  Might be a good idea for you or someone to start a MeetNGreet discussion above so that people can RSVP for the event...there you can discuss wearing a certain color scarf, etc to identify your division at PIR if you want to.  Also, you can click on "March 24" on the calendar to the right of this page.  Then add the Ramada MeetNGreet....just put in the date, time, and location being the Ramada Waukegan.  You can click on 3/10 and see how they set their Ramada post up.
