NavyMaMa, where's your SR's A school at? At least we get a few hours with them. Did your SR say if they were gonna be on a chartered flight?

Kathy thanks for the information on the SR who has not received a letter.  Just dropped a letter in the mailbox to him.  I hope he will get it in next few days.

Good morning ladies! So sad to hear our SRs are leaving Saturday early....but some time is better than no time with them.. I sure miss mine! So much going on in my life right now and I just want to get him and hug him for a while. :(

Let's all help Kathy in achieving the goal of getting the SR with no letters a run for the money on getting the most letters ! No one should have to go thru bc without encouragement and praise for a job well done.

My SR is in 114, too, but not heading for Florida. It sounds like he's in the minority, labears! :)

Thanks diannep. His letters sounded pretty down so I got worried. At one point, he said he fell asleep while standing! He got punished because of that and had to do a lot of push-ups. I know he'll be okay but he can get pretty stubborn with taking meds sometimes so I hope he will take care of himself.

MissingSailor:  Try not to worry about him....he will get better....they keep close tabs on their illnesses there....some do get setback (asmoed) if they are really ill, but they try to get most through it.  Most of them get sick at some time during bc.  My son was one who never got sick before the Navy but he had a bad few days himself--very sick...I think that whole group of shots did him in...because he is not one who even takes meds (not even aspirin).  Thank goodness he got well pretty quickly and didn't have to stop training.  So try to write your SR extra letters encouraging him that he will get well!  And try not to worry yourself!

Just finished reading my husband's letters, he's been sick since he started BC and it's not getting any better. I'm so worried about his health even though he assures me he's continuing his training etc. :( I hope he doesn't overwork himself.

Letter Campain!

I put a comment on my last post but wanted to make sure I got the message out to as many people as possible.  There is a SR in my son's div that hasn't recieved a letter yet.  I guess they are having a contest to see who will recieve the most letters at the end of basic.  I think it would be great if the so far letterless SR won!  Please friend and message me if you would like to join the campain! :)

diannep-No prob! The last time I spoke to my husband on the phone, he didn't even know what PIR meant LOL so is good to clarify on what the RDCs tell em and what the RTC is telling the SRs families and friends.
