You all check out the link I posted underneath the BattleStations schedule in the BattleStations discussion group.  Will give you a better idea of what the SRs go through during BattleStations!  Thanks, Craig!

Thanks CrazyNavyMom and JessicaB-Sailor Mom, for all the tips and encouragement! Sure appreciate all the advice....you know what it's like trying to remember everything to pack all  while waiting for "the call"....I actually did sleep last night but woke up at different times to whisper a prayer for those in battlestations!

oh and my son pird 3/4 and shipped out at 2am the next morning from Ohare.  I took a plain black back pack, with his cell and laptop, some snacks and some real underwear as he requested.lol.  the backpack has to look like NAVY stuff.. son told me it could have been navy blue too.  Walmart has a black one for $10.  I was able to spend a few more hours with him at the airport, they let us go past security to sit with them.  The uso at ohare is wonderful.  I hope you each have a safe journey to GL and get all the hugs your have missed the last 8 weeks.

my son was in pir 3/4/11.. we only had 7 divisions but for some reason our bs ran late in our schedule.  my son had battle stations on tuesday night into wednesday morning..  and one of our divisions had theirs wedneday night into thursday morning.  The mothers of the later group were already in GLs and ready to go to the M&G by the time they got their calls..EEEK.  was crazy.  ask your sailors when they call if everyone in their division passed and post that.  some get caught out of time and cant make their calls especially with a large pir group like yours.  Ya'll have fun..do go to the M&G and meet the people you have been chatting with... and enjoy the end of this long ride.  Much love and lots of prayers for all of you.

Proud Mom, I do the same thing...check in here all day just to see any news..I saw the post from their facebook page as soon as they posted about the winners! I'm hoping they'll post pics soon! If you have fb then go to US Navy Recruit Training Command and like their page and you'll be in the "know"!! They post some really cool pics! It's like getting a little peek into our boys lives right now seeing all the pics..even if they're not in the pic, they're in the vicinity somewhere!! haha....And I too have been quite anxious today... I'm praying for all the divisions to do well, be alert, focused and successful!

Jenine... thanks for the info on the Motivational Chant winner!  How did you hear about this?  My son is also on Ship 07 Div 114 and I'm hungry for any info!  I have been thinking about him all day and praying for the whole group to have a successful night.  I can hardly wait for a call tomorrow... and Friday will be heaven even if it is rain, sleet, snow!  If anyone else is in this division and has any info... I'm sure all of us Navy Mom's would love to hear it!  I find myself coming back to look at the webpages just to feel close to my son until I can congratulate him in person!

Raedez:  You can bring them anything they want to use in the hotel room.  If you are able to meet your sailor once off of RTC (at airport or after moving over to GL), they can have cell, laptop, some clothes (can't wear them yet though), etc.  These in a black plain backpack or small duffel.
