Yay, phone calls are coming in. That may mean a very good chance for a couple more groups to get calls tomorrow. I bet some people are doing the happy dance :-D

Did you ladies get calls yet?? Just hung up with my husband who said his division had just gotten through making phone calls (he was one of the last in line). We got to talk for 19 minutes and even patched through a 3-way call to his dad in the hospital! I really hope you all get to hear from your SR's tonight. <3

I just got off the phone with my SR! It was the best 30 minutes ever! All the waiting was definitely worth it. He's a little sick but overall in good spirit. He said the letters and card I sent really help but asked that I mail a letter out everyday (I've been putting a few in one envelope). He said it gets depressing to not get anything when there's a mail call everyday. He also said he made a card (from paper I guess?) for me :)

He said the whole division get to make calls today (Div 109 and 110 I think). I'm keeping my fingers cross for everyone!

If any of you have AAA or AARP, be sure to check those rates at the hotels also.  Our AAA rate was cheaper than the PIR rate.

SSMom:  That would be such a great thing to do!  I would think that you would need to find out your recruiter's superior's name in that office.  I'm sure if, after you tell your recruiter how wonderful he/she has been and mention that you want to inform their superior, they will be more than willing to supply you with a name and contact info!

To any of you wonderful women who mentor this site: How do we, and who do we tell if our recruiter has been amazing? I would love to let those who are above our recruiter know what a great job he's done.

debotur- Most of the hotels in that area do offer a discount on rooms. I think it is better if you call the hotels direct and tell them you have a family member graduating that week. You don't need the brochure to get the discount. I am not sure about discounts for renting cars. We drove all the way from NC so we didn't experience any car rental places.

If you have a camcorder video tapr it and buy the DVD. You will be glad you did. It might be best to have someone with you to run the video tape, especially if you are as emotional as I was lol.

Also, If you are taking picture with a digital camera use some of the extra time you have when you get there to tack some practice shots and get the setting right for the location. Your pics will turn out much better if you do. :-)

I read some of the posts about videoing the PIR ceremony.....my advice if you have a camcorder record, record, record, I did not because I thought I would purchase the DVD from RTC....well our PIR group did not have a DVD due to technical difficulties, not sure what happened and I'm sure that we were a very rare occurance, but if you can manage taking a camcorder do it...
