Jenine - I know exactly how you feel about coming to N4Ms to feel connected to your SR, I would come on all the time while my son was at GL (maybe not to post but to read the posts) just to feel a connection to my son it felt like my life line at times I don't know if you are on Facebook but I would also go on the RTCs Facebook page in hopes that I would get just a glimps of my son or someone that possibly looked like my son..haha. You are absolutely right no one understands you more then another Navy mom that is going through what you are going through or someone who has been there. Hang in there..((Hugs to all of you))
By the way, anyone booked their hotels or tickets yet? I can't decide on which hotel to pick!! Navy Lodge is a popular choice but I'm hesitant about the "no shuttle service" part. I know Ramada Inn has a Meet & Greet but I'm not sure if I'll get there on time to attend it (it seems kinda far too).I looked at the pamphlet that came with the form letter and it looks like Red Carpet Inn is the closest to base. I also found a motel called Great Lakes Motel that offers free shuttle and cost $50/night.
My hubby will be a Grad&Go so his A school is right across the street. I wanna make sure he'll have plenty of time to get back if he doesn't get overnight liberty. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
Congrats missinghim! I hope I get mine soon :)
Happy Valentine's Day ladies! Thank you for the encouragement diannep, LaLa and netlas. No calls or letters yet but I'm keeping my hopes up! I will keep on writing till the last week! Thanks again LaLa for the suggestions on what to send them (I am running out of things to write!)
Keeping my fingers cross for everyone!
