Hi Waynesmom
My hubby is going in for the same thing. SECF. I am not sure when they will leave for Groton. I guess we just have to learn to wait! LOL It's so hard! I write to my SR everyday and ask him to tell me as soon as he hears something.
navywife23 -My son is going to Groton after BC for SECF job. (Submarine Electronics Computer Field) What is your husband going for?
Does anyone know what determines how soon they leave after BC for school?
Hi everyone. Just wondering if any of you have SRs going to Groton for sub school after BC and if so are you planning on joining him or her?
I joined a Groton group to do more research but I am already close to all of you! So maybe we can learn things together. : - )
Thanks Diannep for being here when I wasn't lol. I have been out most of the day taking my mom for some more tests this morning and then shopping for the PIR ribbon supplies. It was a long day.
Someone needs to alert the postal service, there is a new group of stalkers on the loose lol :-)

Link to the ship names is below in the posts.
JensensMom: GradNGo means that they leave either on Fri or Sat for A school. If they are GradNGo to the Great Lakes base, they move over there right after PIR for a few hours, and then can visit with family for the weekend...maybe even overnights. If they are flying out to A School, they will have most of Fri with you and then will need to be back at RTC. Families can meet them at the airport (find out which one they are flying out of!) and wait at the gate with them on Sat. if the airlines issues you a military gate pass (take ID). Your SRs will know if they are GradNGo a few weeks before PIR.
And it is true that many times the lower numbered divisions are GradNGo, but not always written in stone! My son's was the first division when there, and his and the next division were GradNGo. Not sure beyond those two.
missinghim: If you don't get the letters back, then hopefully he is getting them!
