I'm with Betsy on Residence, jenine.  We loved it!

jenine, we stayed at the Residence Inn and it was very nice.  They had breakfast every day and they have suites with full kitchens and some have fireplaces,  The one thing that I really liked about it was that they had a shuttle ($6 round trip) to base that left at 6:15a.m., which is earlier than some of the other hotels.  If you decide on that one, the AAA rate (if you have it) seems to be the best rate.

Yea my SR called last Friday and also Sunday night and said they were putting them in to be mailed out Monday morning. So any day now!

Thank you so much for the info! I'll check with the DVM about getting a state issued ID..I don't want to get all the way up there and not have the proper ID. Another question...anyone have any personal recommendations for a hotel?

...and jenine: 12 and under are not counted as your 4 guests.  Some list them on the side of the form letter, next to the 4 approved guests.

jenine:  For your 13 yr old, you need picture ID.  Now, we have always said it needs to be state-issued....from the DVM...not a license, but state-issued ID.  However, someone asked on RTC FB and they said a school picture ID is fine. But that was the first time we had heard that.

The form letter says "government issued" photo ID and that is why we recommend state ID.  But if you elect to do the school ID, I would be sure to have birth certificate or social security card also, just in case.  12 and under need b. certificate or social security card only.

You just need to bring a birth certificate for those below a certain age... though I can't remember what that age is!

Lala, do you know what kind of picture ID I have to have for my 13 yr old to show to get in PIR since she obviously doesn't have a drivers license yet?!  Also, my 9 yr old doesn't need to be on the list of four people allowed into PIR? He's coming but if it's not necessary to put him as one of the four we'll use the spot so my other son can come! Thanks for the info that you've shared on here!
