Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Ugh im having insomnia bad.. For like the last week!! I just spent 3 hrs making bowa (i filled EVERY order) so now I need something else to do lol. Its like I can lay there all night I just cant SLEEP!! Anyone else up??? Lol

Ladies---i added info above about a particular taxi driver up at GL's. Its recommended that you rent a car while at PIR  (if not driving up)...ive heard taxis can cost a small fortune, but there is a particular driver that caters to PIR families and i posted his info above if anyone wants/needs to reference it..:)

quiltblue---they usually try and make sure the SR's pass the tests. They have three PFA's in there and the third one is the 'biggie'...so hopefully his knee gets better and all will go well.

Hello, my son is on Ship 11 Div 117....We did receive one letter on Feb25 and a phone call on the 28th. Was so good to hear his voice. He said he had been sick but was holding his head high! I pray very hard that all at BC have the strenghth for whatever the next day brings.

Lala......I received the ribbons that I ordered for PIR....Thanks, They look great...I bought 1 for everyone attending graduation with us:)  I'm so proud of my son & will  be proud to wear my ribbon:)))))
