We all just celebrated our Sailors Graduating today and most of us have really enjoyed our afternoon with them. I really don't want to give him back to RTC! My sailor will be learning how to be ET (Electronics Technician), originally he was going…Continue

Its a place for us to meet :) Has anyone else by chance found out if their loved one is in this Division by chance?!

I am sorry quiltblue ~ my SR says in her last letter that they will be able to mail out letters on more days so maybe he will draft something because he will have more opportunity to get it in the mail ~ our children are so accustom to technology I believe it has done more harm than good. It seems daunting to write a letter especially when your whole world has been turned upside down, I pray it will come soon.
Hello everyone, Just a note to remind you all that your time is coming and it is fabulous to finally hear their voice during the " I'm a Sailor" call.
An important tip I found out - My son said sometimes I wrote boring stuff (nice, since all writing has been one sided - ha ha) and that what is really needed is funny, comic relief! The survey finally came yesterday so I guess technically I do have to count that!
We have had 2 SR's that have received mail and are ready for more names if you happen to hear of any.

Have a wonderful day!
quiltblue - I've had 2 calls and 1 no, now 2 letters in 7 weeks. No one should wonder now why I started the SR writing group!
quiltblue--I feel for you about not getting a letter. Has anyone else you know received one (girlfriend, friend, relatives, etc..)? I know that all the boys in my sons division all knew that their moms were getting to know each other on here, so maybe one of the moms in your division can tell HER son to tell YOUR son, that he needs to write his momma...NOW !!!...lol
They dont have any idea how hard this is for us at home. I told my son how sad i was when he left for BC and he was like.."really?"..I hope you receive word soon. try not to let it get you too down.
Good morning everyone, as most of you know my sailor is finished with bootcamp & school. She is at her first duty station in VA. She called me 2 days ago very upset and angry because of some people from a Baptist church who were protesting at a funeral. She said it made her angry because she too is Baptist and the God she knows and loves is a loving and caring God and she believes he would never want people to be so cruel to anyone, especially someone who was burying their child because he was killed in a war and believed it was his duty to protect their rights as Americans. Within minutes of hanging up the phone with her I found this video posted on a friends facebook page and shared it with her and now I am sharing it with you. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. God Bless you all and your soon to be Sailors.
http://www.godvine.com/Christian-Veterans-Protect-the-Funeral-of-a-...soccermom: Yes, the USS Trayer (BattleStations ship) is Disney-designed and very realistic. More info on BattleStations is up in the discussions. For those who wish to see the BattleStations youtube, go to www.youtube.com
In search box, put in "CNN BattleStations 21". Very interesting!
