Delete Comment Hey moms---just wanted to pass on some info here...if any of you are thinking about putting an announcement of your SR's graduation in your local newspaper....they (your SR) need to sign off on that while in BC. I called our town newspaper after my son PIR'd and they said the info gets sent to them from the Navy IF your sailor had filled out the proper release form. If not...they are unable to publish anything. SO...you may want to write a little note about this in your next letter. I wasnt aware of this and when i asked my son the other day (hes now in Aschool) if he signed the form...he said he didnt know....lol. You also might want to remind them of the name of the paper.:))

When mine called he said 2 divisions were making calls at the same time. I had assumed hed meant 116 since they're brother divisions..

They look so handsome in their uniforms. My sons was dress blues and i will say...that you definitely need to take a lint brush with you. He changed out of his uniform in the hotel room (to put on sweats...they felt sooo good). But just from changing, folding, hanging up, and getting re-dressed to go back, you would not believe the lint, hair, ,etc...that had accumulated on his uniform. They are wool and collect just about anything they come in contact with. Its better for you moms to use the lint roller on them  AFTER they put the uniform on.

Your sailors will PIR in their dress blues.  The change to dress whites for GL will occur the first week in May according to the RTC.

My spreadsheet is showing we have 44 N4Ms members for our PIR!  That's really great!  806 has the most now 10 members!  If you want to know who else is in your division message me and I will give you an update!  I am having so much fun on this site!  Love my SR, and am really excited for him to have such a large family now!
