Yay Sue 11/116  if you look at the beginning of this group page you will see a bunch of discussions... if our ship/div isn't on the top page, click the View All and go read what we are doing as a group!  Also, FRIEND ME!  Thanks!

Hi Everyone - I joined N4Ms awhile ago but just found this group today!  I've just read some prior posts and learned a lot already.  My son is in Ship 11 Div 116.  He's a Nuke.   I finally  got a call from him yesterday at work on my cell phone.  It was really great to hear his voice - he said he was doing fine, but didn't realize how much he would miss us all (even his sister!).  I asked him about graduation but he didn't know whether he'd have time to spend with us afterward.  Does anyone else have a Nuke in Ship 11?  I'm wondering if those going to Charleston will have different flight times after than those going to other places.

Remember moms/wives etc..keep your phones with you at all times even if they said they may not call till monday. You never know. My sons whole division wrote home and said their next call would be on the 20th (of that month) and we all waited and they never came..(boohoo). S o things change in there so quickly. You will probably get it monday..but  i would hold on to the phone all weekend in case they let them call before that..:))

Jajajo:  From what I understand, a "sponsored" division is one where a group of active duty sailors is connected to them...and even visits them.  Beyond that, I'm not sure of the involvement.  I know in the PIR 3/11 group, Div 94 is "sponsored."  You may want to scroll through their posts...."Lady Hamilton" (Emma) posted about her active duty sailor's group sponsoring them.  This was posted a couple of days ago.  You can probably message her for more detail!

gingersnap and others re:  Family Night!  Please don't change plans yet...we have never heard of this night and hopefully it is for real...would hate for you to incur change fees, etc if not necessary.

gingersnap:  One thing your SR was told is not true...and that is what makes me a little suspicous about what they are being told.  Those who are GradNGo to GL DO get lots of time with their families.  They move over there right after PIR...for several hours...and then can join their families...some for overnights even...for the weekend.  So...GradNGo to GL is one of the best scenarios!

I agree with Jessica...post on the RTC FB page asking about "Family Night" with your new sailors and see what they say.  Please post back on this group so we know.

Hey everyone sorry I didn't get on early but I have the grandsons tonight.  I got two letters and a 32 minute phone call.  He sounded good, said he hurt his knee and failed his first PT because of that but that he's not worried cause he's better now.  And those of you asking about the ones who had thier wisdom teeth pulled, mine said he was so glad he already had thiers done because they only got 4 pain pills, 2 days SIQ and 1 day LLD.

Clay'sGirl- my son has had his out already (found out in his letter Today) and he said it didn't hurt and that having braces hurt more than this. So he must have had meds!
