We all just celebrated our Sailors Graduating today and most of us have really enjoyed our afternoon with them. I really don't want to give him back to RTC! My sailor will be learning how to be ET (Electronics Technician), originally he was going…Continue

Its a place for us to meet :) Has anyone else by chance found out if their loved one is in this Division by chance?!
Comment
quiltblue--YES!! as long as they have their phone then all is right with the world...lol
I dont know how the moms coped in the 'old days'.....hahaha!
claysgirl--ohhh...ok then, its all good...lol!
It looks like everything is moving along so good for all you ladies!! Learning how everything works, making friends, getting letters...next will be the CALLS!!! Its a crazy ride, it chugs along at first but then it will start moving faster and faster, especially now that you are able to correspond with them. And before you know it, you will be packing for PIR..:))
navyjane---Do you mean clothes and such? You will be able to ship them their things a week or so after they get to Aschool. Now im talking personal items, clothes, shoes, jackets, etc...There is a liberty card system, your sailor will explain that later on in BC, that allows them certain types of liberty and what they are allowed to wear and such.
We pay to ship these things ourselves. You mentioned 'deployed'...is you SR going to be on a ship/sub?...
NavyJane since they are GradnGo YOU can bring their stuff to GL with you and when you see them at the Airport you can give it to them. They just cant have it while they are staying on the bootcamp barracks. All of their other stuff i believe we have to pay to ship to them :/
Congratulations on getting your letters!!! Its exciting..i know! I hope they were all filled with goodness and not badness...lol..I dont even know if thats a word but you know what i mean!!
Two things claysgirl---i dont know why i never realized this before..but we are asked to tell the moms/GF's etc...about not using your SR's name in any posts, especially with particular division numbers. Especially with the 800 divisions. And remember everyone...there is NO last names to be used at all.
Also..quiltblue---im glad you are packing his backpack with everything he might need, It will make it so much easier to have contact with him while hes traveling. I dont know if you caught it in diannes post, but the backpack needs to be black. During my sons PIR weekend we searched everywhere for black one and couldnt find one, so he had to wait and get one at BESS (his Sub School), so you moms might want to keep an eye open when you go shopping.
If he does need to fly out the next day...hope for a plane delay...haha!
