If we do that though if division 115 could get the anchor (i'll check with them and make sure they're good with it) its just I have a rhinestone anchor i got that i've been looking for something special to use it on.. haha

thats true. hmm i may just send him a letter when i buy my dress and give him a description.. I'll wear lime green if I have to haha

Clay'sgirl....I like it............If you guys like pink.........then we'll do pink...I'm not very creative but we can pick an embellishment we wear on the scarf if you want to separate the division's that way.  The only  thing is our recruits won't easily spot us if we have the same colored scarfs..the embellshments won't be visible from afar.

oh you know what janlee thats a good idea!! But maybe instead of a different color for every division (id never remember all the colors) we could have each division pick a different embelishment- like a flag, anchor, star ect and do it that way so we know the color is a Navy for Mom and our embelishment means shes a navy mom whos in our division.... hmmm thoughts??

Ummm it doesnt really matter to me so if you want to wait for more moms thats fine or we can just pick a color. I was thinking pink or yellow. Just something bright that we can see easily but its up to everyone how they would like to handle it. We could always just decide a color and then let the newer moms know thats what we wanted to do if they wanted to join in as I think everyone kinda goes through that nervous phase when they are new and are intimidated about writing where "everyone" can see... ya know? So they probably wouldnt even care. Lets at least give it through the weekend though as its a holiday weekend more people will probably have the oportunity to get on. We'll just keep bringing it up so it doesnt get "burried" on here on a back page :) just let me know what ya wanna do- Im fairly easy as long as its not soemthing common. Thats my only request:)

soccermom---if you guys do decide on a color...just fill in the new moms about what you all have decided on. Im sure they are not going to mind. Also,,we did this in our  PIR group and we did different DIVISION colors (my division was yellow), some moms ordered them on line, some made their own, some added there own 'touch' to the scarf (anchor patches, ribbons, etc),,,but you guys are correct...it makes it easy to spot N4M's moms. We had no idea what each other looked like, so it definitely helped.!!

I think scarves to wear for PIR would be a great idea:)  I guess will have to find enough of us to vote on the color...Do y'all want to wait a couple of weeks to see if more moms join or do you want to vote even sooner?

Comment by Clay'sGirl (Ship 11 Div 115) on February 19, 2011 at 1:15pm
DEF! Im thinking something that alot of people wouldnt wear by "accident" lol. Dont want to walk up and start a conversation and them look at me like im crazy. So probably not a basic color and not Navy Blue cause a lot of people will probably be wearing that color :/ but it doesnt HAVE to be pink... just something to tie us together.. :)

I like scarves idea!  I had thought maybe a flower pin (real or fake) would also work, that's something everyone might have or can make cheap. Lets put out other ideas as well (I don't have a pink scarf yet, but that would be easy to find prior to our date). Since Easter is coming up, we should be able to find them easily. We have to wear to PIR M&G too!
