No Valentine for my boy... he would be too embarrassed if I did that. I did mail a large envelope of letters, questionnaires, etc. I also sent him a check to have on hand when it comes time to purchase the DVD/photos, etc.  Bought some cards for his birthday next month... getting those ready early!

Conster, for the blue star flags just go to Mybluestarflag.com On the right side of the page you will see a tab for aa free flag. It will take a few weeks to arrive but as soon as you get that "I'm a sailor call" you can hang in the front window of your home. When you are at PIR they have the sticker version for your car window as well.

Seems like everyone is finally hearing from their SR's. I am glad to be in a new group now. Please forgive me if you see a typo. I have Multiple Sclerosis (MS), and there are days when I can't even sign my name, or open up a bottle of water. But WELCOME everyone.....nice to meet all of you. Now how, do I get one of those blue flags someone was talking/writing about earlier. Anyway, did anyone send their SR a Valentine's Day card?

O.K.  had my moment.  Better now.  Glad to read about all you moms that are getting calls from you SR.  Lifts my spirits to hear they are doing o.k.

texas--haha thats ok...youre allowed to be in a fog. After all, your son just joined the Navy.

About 3/4 days after my son left for BC...i was in Giant Eagle and just walked around and around, not really shopping because my mind was on my son (whats he going thru, does he regret it, is he sad or lonely, etc...) I ended at the deli telling the guy behind the counter that my son is in Navy bootcamp...and i went on and on...hahaha.

Oh well,,it made me feel a little better after i told someone...lol I was able to get some shopping done after that.

Hi Mrs. Shalamar--my son is in the same ship/div as your daughter.  Welcome! Note above that there is a discussion group for 11/115.  Check it out and introduce yourself to the other members of this group.
