LOL :)) My fiancee better not forget mine. I've had the same number for 7 years! ..He forgets my birthday all the time! Haha! If he forgets my cell or our house number and doesn't call I'm going to be upset! & Not to mention he can barely remember out house # and zip code! GREAT!

Let's hope all our SR's know their phone numbers or have them written down! I don't think my son knows my cell phone number... since he doesn't have his speed dial! LOL. It's a good thing our phone number has been the same for longer than he has been alive!  That was something he had to memorize before he could spend time away from home!

My SR knows to call my cell phone but I forgot to send him with a calling card so I sent one Friday! I'll be worried until he gets the card because I am still afraid he won't be able to call my cell phone (until, of course, he gets the calling card) :)

KayleeLynn32 ~ I told my SR to call me on my cell phone.  I was sooo afraid to miss a phone call!

Azjulie- I hope so! Been waiting around the house for 2 weeks for a call or letter even though I am not supposed to get one until a week or two from now! Scared to leave because I feel like the one time I leave he'll call! :/ I know my fiancee will make it through boot camp! He was having SO much fun with all his new friends he made waiting at O'Hare for the bus to pick them up! So much fun he was too busy to talk to me for longer than 5 minutes at a time! LOL I know he is doing VERY well in BC. But I just need to hear him tell me he is doing good! I need some reassurance!

:)

KayleeLynn32-I know what you mean... it will come for you soon, too! I had been preparing myself for my son to be unhappy, ready to quit, etc. since there is so much info saying how difficult the first few weeks are. I could hear the tiredness in his voice but a simple "I'm okay" put me through the roof!

Congrats azjulie! Glad to hear! Wishing I would get a phone call! Ugh! Maybe, sometimes, I should make sure I leave one bit of information out for my fiancee so maybe I could get an early phone call! LOL I sent him with all he needed to know and have with him! Rrrr! :)) Hoping for a call home SOON!!!! Need to hear his voice and how he is doing!

I, too, received a call from my recruit on Friday morning. It was a request for some info for paperwork, but we did get a few mins to chat. He said it was very hard. He was very tired. But he was doing okay. Music to my ears. He did say that the detachment is the hardest part. We warned him before he left, but living it is much different. I told him that he had a lot of mail on the way and he was quite happy to hear it. He thought he might be able to call home today (Sunday) or Tuesday. Didn't happen today and may not happen Tuesday, who knows? But, that few mins of hearing his voice makes all the difference. Glad to hear there were others receiving calls. What a journey this is!
