Very thankful for this website.  My kids think I am addicted to it.  Just want to make sure I don't make any major mess ups as time goes on.  Looking for ways to learn the lingo for Navy.  There is alot. Our SR has 3 younger brothers at home that want to impress him with their knowledge:)

texasmom... once you get the form letter, it will give you the PIR date too.  Not all parents get on computers, not all recruiting offices tell parents about Navy for Moms. I am asking my son to spread the word about our group(s). It will make for a better experience for them and us if we have a larger group.

Texasmom....I know JessicaB has been working on confirming PIR dates for the SR's that started BC last week.  So far she has confirmed 115, 116 & 117 will graduate on 4/01/11.  You and the other moms that aren't sure can hang out here until the date is confirmed:))) I know it's hard to wait .... but you will probably know sometime this week:)))))

Hello everyone....I have a daughter that was suppose to graduate on 3/18, but got reassigned to 4/1. I am very excited about all these men and women, who are training to be a Sailor. She is in Ship 16, Div 116. I have already gotten the kd in the box, as well as the form letter. We actually got to talk to her last Wednesday, when she told us about the change in ship and division. She told us how extremely old it is up there and that she has received our letters. It takes aproximately 5 days to get and reeive mail. I wouldlike tosay hello to each and everyone that is in this PIR 4/1/11.   :)

Our recruiter told us (with the exception of the 800 & 900 divisions) that it is merely the order that they arrive.  He said that the recruits my daughter arrived with will more than likely be in her division.  Because of this, many recruits in a division are from the same geographical area.
Comment by janlee on February 13, 2011 at 8:57pm
leeann-the 900 divisions are the musical divisions (drill team, flags, instruments, etc..) The 800 divisions are the specials opps (SEALS, divers, etc..) the 100 divisions are other rates such as submariners, master at arms , nukes, etc...
