We all just celebrated our Sailors Graduating today and most of us have really enjoyed our afternoon with them. I really don't want to give him back to RTC! My sailor will be learning how to be ET (Electronics Technician), originally he was going…Continue

Otty:.......Unfortunately our sons not in the same sh/div.....ship 11 div 116 but hopefully when you get your form letter he will have the same grad date PIR.
Otty.........Great idea!...Will tell my husband.......:)))
Yeah ProudMamma! Happy for you.
It's only noon here so mail hasn't come yet. :(
Thanks Soccermom. Still watching for him...
My husband who is not a letter writer, put together a goofy pic with photoshop to send. Stuck his head over my son's head in a group picture of friends and it says 'Dads got your back son". He will crack up when he sees it. So I thought, if you guys have husbands or brothers/sisters, friends who like to photoshop, some silly pic may be the ticket instead of a letter.
Otty/soccermom---It makes total sense..lol I didnt find this site intil my son was in for 5/6 days. And i found it by accident. I wished so badly that i found it before he went in so we could have gone over so much of this info together.
He was so glad when i told him i was on here and learning the lingo, that way he could talk 'Navy speak' in his letters and didnt have to explain it all..lol
It really is teamwork, with everyones help and input...not only does it help to get thru this tough time , it also helps by being able to piece together whats going on on there with them. Between letters and calls from boys in my sons division...us moms were able to figure out when we could expect calls, if those calls might be revoked, when battlestations were, etc.....
Im hoping time goes fast for you guys, at first it drags (thats where you are right now) and it seems like 4/1/11 is so far way, but it does go by and you will see your SR's beautiful faces. Its rough,,but worth it.
