We all just celebrated our Sailors Graduating today and most of us have really enjoyed our afternoon with them. I really don't want to give him back to RTC! My sailor will be learning how to be ET (Electronics Technician), originally he was going…Continue

Wow! What a great weekend we have had, and we have about 9 more hours to spend with her before having to take her back to the base and head to the airport!
We got our Chicago style pizza, rode the train... this morning we are heading to Wildberries, highly recommended for breakfast. She went and bought a new laptop and cell phone yesterday, so... she feels like she is back in the "real" world again!
It saddens me to think about having to return her to the base, but I am so greatful for the time we have had with her. This time away from her won't be as bad as last time because at least we know we will have a little more access to her in the evenings! Skype... here we come!!
I hope everyone makes it home safe and sound! (would feel a little better about getting back on the plane after the plane problems this weekend!)
flight to IL 500.00
car rental 400.00
seeing my son yesterday...PRICELESS
Spending time with my son, hearing about the friends he's made and his time in boot camp was AWESOME... Taking him back to the base was heart breaking. That makes it twice now that I drive him somewhere so he can leave.
It was so nice meeting most of the mom's from the website. I Thank you all for your support and wisdom.
It was so nice to see everyone at the PIR yesterday. I am so enjoying my daughter, and her stories from boot camp.
Sadly though, she has to be back on the base each night at 2045. I was hoping and praying that she would have gotten complete liberty, but apparently, some of the kids have to return to the base. That's ok, I am just enjoying each second that we are together. We went to the mall this morning, so she could buy herself a new cell phone. Then we were in the hot tub here at the hotel. Right now, she is adding a bunch of phone nmebers to her phone.
So this will probably be my last post on N4M until I get back to Florida tomoorw night. She wants her laptop back, haha, can you blame her? She has so much catching up to do with all of her friends.
Also, Sarge has been such a tremendous support to me and Christine. He is a very special person, and I highly recommend him to any and everyone.
Anyway, I am so very happy for ALL the moms and their Sailors. They did a supurb job at the PIR. I am leaving from O'Hare tomorrow afternoon and want to say THANK YOU for your love and support to me and my family during this most trying time, when my husband passed away.
Please feel free to email me at Conster1114@aol.com and I will give you my home address and also my cell phone information.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !!!
Oh my gosh Claysgirl!!! Congratulations!! That is so wonderful!! It was so great meeting you yesterday!! You were a sweet pumpkin just like we thought you would be!!
We were beyond blesses, as was Shalimar,to get weekend liberty with our sailors! This came as quite a shock, since all we read up until this point was that there was absolutely no overnight liberty since March11 or something like that! God is SOOO good, and, as Justins Mom said... Thank You U.S. Navy!!
We are going to take the train into Chicago today ! I can't believe how cheap it is! So... we can spend the day wondering the streets of Chicago, and most can experience their first ever train ride!
I hope everyone enjoys thier day!
