otty:  Yes, he should have a duty in his own PIR as well.  Whether performing or behind the scenes.

otty:  Sorry for not including that extra info about the 900 divisions.  Thanks, Jessica!

Ha!  Sorry, Lala....in my head, every time I see your screenname, I think of Layla!  Must be because I loved that song growing up. Ooops....just dated myself...although it has made a revival recently with the young generation! :-)

I'm a little confused. Why would my son's PIR date be the same as some of the kids who just arrived a week ago if he arrived two weeks ago?  I still haven't received the letter but there are others in the group whose kids left 1/31.

Diannep- who is Layla? lol, Sorry I couldn't resist ;-) Also when do they go back to dress whites for PIR? I can't remember.

They preform in their own PIR as well. Some do get to preform in 1 or 2 PIR's before their own. He could have been chosen for his marching ability too. You are one step ahead of the game so to speak if you already know how to march :-)

Thank you diannep and Janlee for answering the questions and a special thanks to soccermom for starting this group.  You have all been so nice.

So, if my son is in div 920 you are saying he will be performing?? Like an instrument?  He must have told them he played tuba for 3 years but stopped 2 years ago.  I sure hope he remembers how. lol.

But, will he not be in his own PIR?

Welcome to all the members of this group. I'm looking forward to getting to know each of you & hopefully will get to meet you & your families at PIR (graduation). I'm a newbie to N4M's so I am learning about every step of this process with the aid of the veteran moms that monitor this site. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. There will always be a veteran mom here to help...My son left for bc 1 week ago today. I don't know what I would have done without the support of this forum.

Anyway before you know it we'll be making plans to travel to GL for PIR on 04/01/11.................................God bless each of you & your SR's
