Just wanted to let everyone know that Joey's Girl Nancy(Ship11 DIV117) had a beautiful baby girl yesterday morning! 6 lbs. 13 ozs. Her hubby is still in GL at A school, and she and their girls are still in CA. The baby is just precious! She is on Facebook (me too), if you want to send congrats. She doesn't have her computer, but has her phone and receives messages from FB at the hospital! Baby's name is Hannah Hailey! Sweet!

does it make me a bad mother when i don't even know my childs favorite color??  i asked her when you asked the first time but she never answered me!!  I just looked it up so I am pretty sure this is who it was:

The Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy (MCPON, pronounced "mik-pon") is a unique non-commissioned rank in the United States Navy, which has a paygrade of E-9. The holder of this rank and post is the most senior enlisted member of the U.S. Navy, equivalent to the Sergeant Major of the Army, Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force, Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard, and Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He is appointed by the Chief of Naval Operations to serve as a spokesman to address the issues of enlisted personnel to the highest positions in the Navy.

Autumn called pretty excited!  The highest ranked Naval person, whom she says you may meet once during your Naval career, came today (which they knew about ahead of time) They were each allowed to ask him one question and he was so impressed with hers that he talked about it for 10 mins ( only there for 45) and he told her he doesn't hand these out often, but he gave her one of his coins!  she will cherish it forever!!  ( of course... i told her not to lose it!! )  isn't that cool??

Well...great getting caught up with everyone again ! A big congrats to Mrs. Clay's Girl ! Glad your day was wonderful! Autumn graduates A school on the 20th and will come home for a couple weeks before heading to San Antonio. She finally got her E3 ranking she was supposed to have started with after boot camp. Guess the paperwork got lost in the shuffle! She has started playing soccer so she is loving getting back into that! I think, slowly but surely, she is adjusting, but....it still depends on the minute of the day you are talking to her !
Everybody take care and have a wonderful 4th of July weekend ! I think it will have a different meaning for most of us this year !

I'm happy to hear Adriana is in A school and doing well, you must be so proud of her!  And congrats to ClaysGirl on your wedding, I saw your pics on facebook and they were beautiful!

My daughter is in week 3 out of 13 of her military dog training.  She really likes it, it is just hotter than Hades in San Antonio.  Sometimes it is too hot to take the dogs outside and train.  She has moved out of the barracks and actually lives in a motel (kind of like the Navy Lodge) on base.  Her first assignment when she completes all her training is actually only about a 1 1/2 hours from home, at the Bangor Nuclear Sub Base in Silverdale, Washington.

It's so good to hear how everyone's sailor is doing!
