guess mine won't have a ribbon for marksmenship cuz... she wouldn't shoot the gun !!  ( at least not the time she told me about!)

Mushell: The ribbon for joining during wartime is the multicolored ribbon they will have on their dress uniform.  The black one is for marksmenship.

soccermom:  He may have just been totally exhausted...and when it finally sinks in, I bet he will be much happier...and after some good nights of sleep!  He will find A School to be so different from bootcamp.  Contact is back with friends and family, and there is more freedom.  Just keep encouraging him about that if you speak to him again before PIR (he may call you during their pizza party next week).

I don't know about the rest of you, but... I was exhausted last night!!  Good luck to all in the Captains Cup today!  I hope this is a day of fun for all, regardless of the turnout!!

Mushell... that is so cool about the National Defense Ribbons!

I am glad so many others aside from Div 115 & 116 got to talk to their SR's yesterday!  It sure was a good day, wasn't it??!

Amazing 30 minute phone call today!!!!  I pulled over in my truck and was attempting to scribble a few notes so I wouldnt forget anything he said!  He was jabbering away, really excited, and super pumped up!!  Looks like Grad n Go for our Div 118....I hope that doesnt change, as I'm about to change flights and hotels.  It was amazing how much he knew about current events and the chaos going on in the middle east.  I was like....this is my kid?  Said they got National Defense Ribbons (?) for joining during war time.  I thought that was cool.  The clock above is about to roll over to 5 days to PIR......sigh.............
