We all just celebrated our Sailors Graduating today and most of us have really enjoyed our afternoon with them. I really don't want to give him back to RTC! My sailor will be learning how to be ET (Electronics Technician), originally he was going…Continue

118 got to call... we were able to talk for 30 minutes... They passed everything! and awarded the call. Now only thing left is Battlestations on Monday and then we get another call on Tuesday...We fly out on Thursday, get to meet all my lovely cohort from M4N at the meet and greet...then on to PIR...life is good!!!
SOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD to hear his voice. He sound so pumped-up, Laughing, joking with his brothers on the phone...Only down side is he told me he is a Saturday departure....so sad... but at least I know now and can plan accordingly. I don't think we will change our plans after we see him off at the airport. When will we ever get to see the sites of Chicago that we planned to see with our sailor....Life is good
Congratulation to all of you that received you Sailor calls today! How exciting for all of you. Go 115 & 116 HOOYAH!!!!!!!
Congratulation Clay'sGirl....I only wish that my son would bring home one just like you someday...I would be one proud mom to have a daughter-in-law just like you :>))))))
mine was just on facebook! now...that was a nice sight to see!!
she said the capping ceremony was unbelievable!! i bet it is a really emotional moment for them! what a feeling of accomplishment!! ( darn, i sure wish we could have seen that!! )
She had her taco bell...it was "awesome". She was also one who fell asleep while marching today! and on the bench in the bathroom!! she is exhausted! she said battlestations was actually pretty cool. her group did really well on their score (4.5 out of 5) i think she said their overall average for the division was a 3.5 (might be wrong about this, but I think she said 3.3 is passing)
They are excited that they get to go to bed an hour early.... i don't know about the rest of you, but i never though i would see the day that my child would ever even consider going to bed an hour early, let alone be excited by it!! :-)
claysgirl---Awwww! you sound just like my sons GF!! While riding in the car with us on the way back from PIR weekend...she called her mom and said.." Mom, im moving to Connecticut"...LOL! She just went up to see HER sailor this past weekend...and they got engaged!! Im so happy for both of them...:)
Theres something special about having a fiance in the Military...its something that only another girl going thru it can understand. It takes a certain commitment, understanding, and respect for each other. Good for you. I always tell my son that his GF was a 'trooper' while he was in BC. Its a really hard thing to contend with. Its also a true test to your relationship. You hung in there, and so did she...you should be proud of yourself.. as well as him.... :))
